Systems Engineer

So who do we look for?

People who feel the same about our customers as we do.  People who love engineering (its like oxygen to them). Those who are used to and capable of delivering 100% customer satisfaction as part of everything they do.  Of course, technical skills are also required, so here are a few of them:

  • 3-5 years experience in the IT outsourcing / managed services sector in an engineering capacity or similar experience.
  • Strong expertise in Windows server environments and related technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with entry level to midrange storage solutions (EqualLogic, NetApp).
  • Experience with networking technologies - hands on (switching, routing, load balancing, network security, firewalling).
  • Experience with database technologies (MS SQL).
  • Experience with System Management on Windows platforms.
  • Scripting and programming skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience with monitoring and automating.
  • Consulting experience considered an asset.

And what will you be doing at PCS?

  • Delivering and managing high quality infrastructure solutions for our growing client base, from design and build, to ongoing maintenance and management.
  • Working directly with our clients to analyze complex infrastructure issues, identify possible solutions and facilitate the implementation of such solutions.
  • Understanding our customer's technical environments in order to provide the best, focused advice and trouble shooting.
  • Efficiently analyse and resolve incidents, identifying the root cause and developing the technical solution required to fix the issue.
  • Proactively maintain the highest level of expertise by staying current on industry techniques and technologies.
  • Working hard and playing hard.
