Cordaid Selects PCS for Open-ID Implementation

Custom solution built and managed under PCS "Business Assurance" Program

Zoetermeer, The Netherlands - 11 June 2010 - PCS-IT, a leading provider of outsourcing and managed services for MKB's, today announced that Cordaid has chosen PCS to implement and manage its OpenID solution.

Cordaid recently completed redesign and rebuild of their corporate Intranet.  The new Intranet was intentionally hosted on a remote infrastructure, not connected to their internal network.  However, as part of Cordaid's requirements, users of the Intranet platform needed to be able to login with the same identity that they use when logging onto internal Cordaid Systems.

While a heavy and expensive solution could have been considered, including extending the internal network to the remote infrastructure, PCS proposed an OpenID based solution.  This direction would provide multiple benefits to Cordaid, the main being providing the core requirement - allowing SSO authentication to the Intranet platform.

PCS proposed and has implemented a minimal Private Cloud setup for Cordaid, which allows for future expansion and flexibility but still maintains performance and high availability - all for an attractive price point.

Cordaid and PCS have signed a three year "Business Assurance" agreement during which PCS will manage all aspect of the OpenID infrastructure on behalf of Cordaid.
